Peter Huang is a Chinese-Canadian writer and director known for his sharp comedic voice and cinematic visual style across film, television, music videos and commercials.

He began his career developing and writing at Collective Pictures, where he co-produced the Netflix feature Code 8.

Peter first gained international recognition with music videos for artists including Avicii, Eminem, Martin Garrix, Jessie Reyez, and SonReal, earning wins and nominations at the Cannes Young Director Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards, the Prism Prize, the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the JUNO Awards.

His breakout short, 5 Films About Technology, premiered at Sundance, where it was acquired by NEON and released theatrically alongside Colossal. He later expanded it into Nine Films About Technology for FX’s Cake.

In television, Peter directed the Crave comedy Late Bloomer, created by and starring Jasmeet Raina, which was nominated for Best Comedy Series at the Canadian Screen Awards and earned Peter a nomination for Directing in a Comedy Series. He has also directed episodes of Workin' Moms for CBC and Netflix and Children Ruin Everything for CTV and Roku, as well as commercial campaigns for Google, Walmart, Samsung and Toyota.
