Founded by Director X and Taj Critchlow, Fela creates and impacts culture through cutting-edge content in the realm of music videos, commercials, documentaries, and films. We are proudly Black-owned and women-owned, and with home bases in Toronto and Los Angeles, we work with a diverse roster of creatives across North America.
We know that storytelling can be a powerful agent of change, and we understand how to leverage creativity that shifts and impacts pop-culture at the highest level. Our superpower is our innate ability to tell stories authentically, while amplifying underrepresented voices. Everything we do comes back to our motto: Own Your Culture, Tell Your Stories.
Fela’s team of directors have made an indelible mark on culture with ground-breaking music videos for Drake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Rosalía, Jay-Z, SZA, Coldplay, Black Eyed Peas, Eminem and many more. We’ve produced commercials and branded content for Nike, Samsung, Disney, Spotify, Pyer Moss, Converse, Virginia Black, Bud Light, Four Seasons and Puma. As Fela continues to grow, we have begun an evolution into long-form content.
