Kajal - bio

Kajal is a Brooklyn native telling stories from her 5’2″ view. Director, photographer, CD, writer, and overall creative, she uses her art to highlight people of color and other women.

She draws inspiration from her first-generation life – trying to balance her family’s roots with the ones she’s growing for herself in the western world.

She believes that her creative spirit and passion would be nothing without the support of her community and in this, she wishes to do right by them by telling their stories in the most authentic and genuine way.

Including clients such as Nike, The New York Times, Complex, Peloton, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish to name a few, she believes that the human is the most important element to every piece.

She dedicates her work to her late grandfather – an aspiring filmmaker himself.
